Our Programs
A Preschool That Values Students’ Voices.
Ivybrook Academy provides loving and educational Preschool programs for children between the ages of eighteen months and six years. In partnership with parents, we create a nurturing environment in which each child’s individual potential for social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth is optimized and fulfilled.
Ivybrook Academy is open ten months of the year and operates a separate Summer Camp program for the remaining two months. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the school year and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during the summer programs. We offer both morning and afternoon sessions, and our half-days allow Ivybrook to maximize children’s hours in school with impactful learning experiences while maintaining a developmentally appropriate amount of time away from family. Half-days can be less stressful for children and help prepare them for full-day schooling.
Toddler Preschool
This program focuses on independence and autonomy and provides toddlers with a safe and nurturing environment where they can explore their natural curiosities. They will be encouraged to express themselves in a variety of ways, including through singing, dancing, art, and reading.
Preschool for 2-Year-Olds
This program is broken into older and younger two-year-old sections. In these classrooms, we support intellectual and social development by focusing on relationship building. We also help children discover their uniqueness and embrace their skills and passions.
Preschool for 3-Year-Olds
This program offers children the opportunity to begin exploring the world around them. Educators focus on the unique learning styles of each student and teach practical life skills like pouring, wiping, and sorting. We champion their curiosity and passion for learning and teach them to respect the rights of others.
Preschool for 4 & 5-Year-Olds
Our pre-kindergarten program assesses students’ foundational skills in reading, writing, and math, and identifies areas that need development. Children are exposed to concentrated learning experiences, including problem-solving, reading readiness, socialization, and more.
Private Kindergarten
Ivybrook’s private kindergarten curriculum incorporates both Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies and exposes children to the fundamentals of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Our classrooms also focus on small group work.
Preschool Summer Camp
Every year, Ivybrook Academy campuses offer a Summer Camp program that features fun and educational activities. We introduce exciting new themes each season, some of which involve building, water activities, scientific exploration, and discovering nature.
Discovery Program
The Discovery Program at Ivybrook Academy offers classes in music and movement, foreign language, creative expression, and the library. The Discovery teacher works with each classroom to explore all forms of creative expression in the mini-art studios or our large, central art studio.
