What Is Montessori Educational Philosophy?
Montessori is a educational philosophy that emphasizes hands-on, individualized learning. Montessori classrooms are typically designed to promote independence, with materials and activities that are accessible to students. The Montessori method has been around for over 100 years and is used in private schools in Mount Pleasant SC and schools all over the world. What Is Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences?
Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences proposes that there are eight different types of intelligence, each corresponding to a different area of ability. Gardner believes that traditional education systems only place value on linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligence, but that all forms of intelligence are equally important.
His theory has been hugely influential in the field of education, causing schools to rethink the way they approach teaching and learning. Gardner's theory is also influential in the field of philosophy, as it challenges the idea that there is only one type of intelligence. The theory has been met with criticism from some quarters, but it remains an important part of Gardner's intellectual legacy.
