Owner's Story

Dave and Erin are high school sweethearts, and although they originate from New England, they have lived in Atlanta for over twelve years and consider it their home. They have four children and currently reside in Roswell.

As an educator, Erin always knew the importance and value of a hands-on, enriching environment for young children. Dave and Erin’s oldest daughter was adopted by them at the age of two years old. Shortly after their daughter’s adoption they enrolled her in the local pre-school. Dave and Erin immediately began to see her grow and develop in so many ways. Today, their daughter is a successful college graduate working for a large tech company. “We attribute much of our daughter’s success to the strong foundation that was set in her early educational years”.

Erin is a seasoned educator with twenty-five years of educational experience in a variety of roles. Dave has over twenty-five years of experience in the medical device industry. He earned his undergraduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Dave and Erin have always dreamed of owning a business together. Erin’s calling has always been to work with children, and her passion is to help each child learn and develop in their unique learning style. After learning about Ivybrook Academy school and its philosophy, they instantly knew it was the perfect match for their combined skillsets and passions. Erin is excited to bring the next Ivybrook Academy school to the Woodstock area and use her extensive educational background and experience as the full-time school Principal. Dave will continue with his current full-time job in the bio-tech industry while managing the business operations for their Ivybrook Academy Campus in Woodstock, GA.
