Every child holds so much potential and, at Ivybrook Academy Five Forks, we help cultivate that potential. Our Simpsonville Preschool builds solid foundations for a lifetime of learning. We offer Preschool programs for children ages 2 years through 6 years that encourage critical thinking, nurture creativity, and foster a love for learning. Our goal is to create an early learning environment that inspires children to explore, solve problems, create, and work with each other.

Our Simpsonville Preschool takes an innovative approach to early childhood education that recognizes each child’s strengths and needs while allowing their individual uniqueness to shine. Ivybrook Academy Five Forks offers the following programs:

  • Preschool for 2-Year-Olds
  • Preschool for 3-Year-Olds
  • Preschool for 4 & 5-Year-Olds
  • Private Kindergarten
  • Dual Enrollment Session

Dual Enrollment Session- This program allows PreK and TK students to join us for the morning session, stay with us for lunch, and then join our afternoon session to continue their learnings for an entire school day.

Each of our programs is part-day and we offer both morning and afternoon sessions for specific programs, including our Private Kindergarten program. Part-day Preschool is ideal for children of this age, as it allows enough time for learning while minimizing any separation anxiety from being away from family and home. Our part-day Preschool programs are also designed to help prepare children for full-time elementary school.

Our Curriculum

Our innovative approach draws from three educational philosophies. We find that this allows us to provide our students with the most well-rounded experience that accommodates various methods of learning. These three approaches include the following:

  • Montessori – This is a highly respected technique that has been used in schools for over a century. It recognizes that children have innate preferences and emphasizes the need for them to embrace their natural curiosity about the world around them.
  • Reggio Emilia – Founded upon the belief that children communicate using many different languages, this approach emphasizes a collaborative learning environment where students, teachers, and families are part of the learning experience.
  • Theory of Multiple Intelligences – This approach was researched by a Harvard University professor and posits that adapting the curriculum to the specific needs of each child places them in the best position to learn.

This balanced curriculum provides a customized learning experience for all our students and is the best way to accommodate the diverse set of needs in every classroom.

Never Stop Learning

Our Preschool programs are offered ten months out of the year…so what about those other two months? Ivybrook Academy Five Forks believes that the warm months are the best time to engage in hands-on educational activities.
